The Program is divided into three terms:
Islamic Geometry, Rumi Ornamentation and Illumination, and Floral Ornamentation and Illumination.
You will learn about the different kinds of ornamentation used in the Islamic world and how to implement the more prominent forms. This would include learning to create intricately elaborate designs based on simple repeated elements. Also taught in the course is colour theory as applicable in Islamic ornamentation and how to use gold for illumination.
At the end of the course, you will be able to create artworks based on your own designs. You will also have some useful theoretical.
