With Mothana Alobaydi
- Introduction to Arabic Calligrphy, and a brief overview of the prominent styles
- Learning the rules and practicing 3 styles (Jali Diwani, Naskh, Thuluth)
- The student will apply the knowledge to complete a calligraphy artwork.
PROGRAM CURRICULUM
- Learning to write individual letters
- Learning to wrote letter connections
- Practice writing words and sentences
- Creating an artwork
The student receives a certificate on completion written by Mothana Alobaydi
The students' work will be displayed in an exhibition after the end of the program.
DETAILS
- The program lasts one month
- A total of 140 hours of practice and learning
- Sundays to Thursdays, 9 am to 4 pm
- Fees: 1800 USD for the whole program, calligraphy equipment included.
- Airport pickup and drop off can be arranged for an extra 100 USD
- Housing can be arranged for a rental fee between 500 and 1200 USD for the month.
TOURIST TRIPS
Tours are available on weekends (Friday and Saturday)
A total of 4 trips will be made outside of Amman and 4 tours inside the city.
Available for an additional fee of 600 USD.
1. PETRA, WADI RUM AND AQABA
This includes touring Petra and then going to Wadi Rum to watch the sunset on its red sands. The students will stay for dinner and breakfast, then set off the next day to Aqaba to see its markets, and sail aboard a ship in the Red Sea. Then they will have lunch and return to Amman.
2. MADABA AND THE DEAD SEA
The students will go to Madaba to visit Mount Nebo and then go to the Dead Sea where they will have lunch and spend the evening.
3. JERASH AND AJLOUN
The students will visit the ancient ruins of Jerash and then the castle of Ajloun.
The trips inside Amman will be as follows:
1. Downtown Amman, the Roman Amphitheater, and the Amman Citadel.
2. The Sleepers of the Cave
3. The Jordan Museum
